Article Marketing Strategy, Is It Still Effective or really hate by Google?

What is Article Marketing?

Article marketing is very simple to define and easy to understand. You write an article which contains a link back to your website or yours landing page and submit it to article directories. Because of the unlimited number of websites on the web, article marketing is a great way to let your target audience become aware of your website or products or services that you promote. So in other words you can define the Article Marketing is the art of the writing and distributing articles in an attempt to get people to click on the link to your website, blog, or affiliate page.

There must be some reason why some people are still promoting article marketing as a way to create income and sales. The problems are what happen with Google made a significant change to its ranking system that has been dubbed “Google Farmer.” And some marketers have tried to capitalize on this as “the end of article marketing”. And why James Martell, the successful affiliate marketer, successful author and host of the Affiliate Marketer’s SUPER Boot Camp wants you to stop wasting your time and money with article marketing!

So if you’re involved in article marketing it is better to think more careful about it or stop it unleash you know what the uncle Google wants from you. The problem is Google do not like “article marketing” any way.  It’s time to get smart about where you direct your efforts and spend your time and money. If you’ve not yet begun the process but have been tempted (by some “guru,” expert, or software solution) don’t start down that slippery slope. According to James there have had enough of people getting suckered into this “churn and burn” business model.

Guess What?  So How Do You Write for article marketing?

The number one rule of thumb for writing profit producing articles is to provide value to your reader! If you don’t do this approach then nothing else you do matters, and article marketing will produce any results for you. Some of the best value oriented articles that I have seen explain a topic, answer a question, or solve a problem of yours reader. Regardless of your article format though, you want to make sure that you stand out by providing best and helpful or great information.

The second rule for writing articles is to never sell anything in the body of the article. People do not want to be “sold” anything when reading an article. The goal of the article is to inform. You do the selling on your website once they click through at the end of your article. Remember the rule of article’s directories; most directories will refuse to publish the article that tries to sell something in the body of the article.

And, Now – You Need a Google Update…

Now you know that Google made a significant change to its ranking system that has been dubbed “Google Farmer and some marketers have tried to capitalize on this as “the end of article marketing”. For me as a simple marketer is nothing really did change.  Our article marketing goal is still the same as it needed to be before this Google change. They are still the best way to:

• To continue to writing article that has high-quality content in our articles.
• To use the best keywords in your niche to attract your target audience.
• To publish your articles to online directories on a regular basis.

Make your own writing article routine at least 2-4 times a week:

• Search out your keywords for yours blog post, chose the best title and content.
• Then repurpose the post or spinning your article and submitting to online article directories.
• Create yours resource box that has anchor text back to your optin page or your website.

Here some info that maybe useful for you.  Imagine getting 1,000 visitors, you only need some 40 articles with an average of 25 clicks back to your own site, or opt in page, per article. And, this still depends on what your topic and keywords are, along with what your categories are.

Now you’re Goal, Make it happen.

Remember, build your system. Make the actual number of articles you write each week needs to remain constant, so that you get into a routine, a system that you are comfortable with. If you can only do 1- 2 per week, do that. But if you could write 5-10 articles per week? That would be better. Imagine – That would give you 20-40 articles and a possible 40-80 opt INS at the end of every month – actually it is not yet the best goal but it is one and take your time.

Bear in your mind an important part of article marketing, is how to use your primary keyword when writing your articles. Use keyword tool to find out the best keyword for your article. That is the one you hope to rank the highest for in the search engines.

Distributing Your Article

Once you have a your article, and have written a author’s resource box that is optimized for maximum click-through, the next thing you want to do is distribute your article to as many directories as possible. After all, you don’t want to spend 2-3 hours writing a best article and only submit it to ONE directory…..right? The answer of course is NO!
